A Father/Daughter Moment

Ladies, remember the first time your father shaved your mohawk? Didn’t it make you feel like Daddy’s special little girl?

Have a great weekend everybody!

I hope I'm as cool as you are Mr. Schprock. Not only do you let her have a mohawk, you make sure it is properly manicured. I hate to repeat myself, but here goes: you rock Mr. Schprock.

That was my first time handling a shaver and I was really worried about keeping the line straight.

My wife learned to use the shaver on my hair. I had to settle for a buzz cut for the first couple passes, but she finally got the hang of it. I was extremely low pressure about it.

You've got to be the coolest dad ever.

You are awesome. I hope DN2 knows how lucky she is. Well, considering she's a teenager the best we can hope for is that in 10 years she'll know.

Your kid seems to have a great dad she can rely on.

Thanks guys. Some days she doesn't think I'm so cool and sometimes I don't feel too cool, but the girls could do a lot worse for a dad.

If I ever asked my dad for a mohawk, he would have said, "Aww, shut up and drink your beer."

No, he would have said, "Aww, shut up and drink your beer like a nice young lady."

Schprockie - Ditta what Scott said, YOU FREAKING ROCK!!! My father damn near had a heart attack just because I cut my hair to shoulder length. He would have lost his mind if I had done anything like that. I'm so jealous.

Just when I think I can't adore you anymore ... you go and post this. How about it, Mr. Schprock, you ... me ... the next life?

That's a whole lotta lovin' going on in that kitchen. Love the 2-liter grape soda, btw. No white cashmere carpets in that house.

I am 37 and my mother would STILL kick my arse if I ever got a tattoo. Don't get me wrong, my mom ROCKS just not in a mohawk gettin kind of way.

BTW, GREAT job with the interview this week. Thanks for doing that. As usual a great entertaining read.

Wow.

My father would STILL freak out if I got a mohawk. He nearly passed out when I [accidentally] dyed it purple last fall.

Was she stunned that you shaved her head for her? Or is this 'just the way dad is'?

You are too cool.

I agree with everybody else; a Dad who will shave a kid's mohawk for them is a Dad to be proud of.
